Application of Laser in Medical
Medical lasers are medical devices that use precisely focused light sources to treat or remove tissues.
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a treatment that uses a drug, called a photosensitizer or photosensitizing agent, and a particular type of light. When photosensitizers are exposed to a specific wavelength of light, they produce a form of oxygen that kills nearby cells. Lasence has developped the PDT laser device which is aleady used in hospital.
Lasence's lasers of MD laser series were developed for use in medical and aesthetic applications. The lasers' special wavelengths are based on Lasence's patented self-frequency doubling laser crystal technology. The lasers are available as free-space output and fiber-coupled versions. Main wavelengths are 510nm, 570nm, 532nm, 577nm, 810nm and 659nm.
Lasence can not only develp the lasers but also the whole laser device for medical area.
